Makuti Village Garden Inn started at 2007 at kwemakame village, Kwai ward Lushoto district with only three (3) buildings. The first building has three rooms, the second building has two rooms but they are buildings with local sticks and the third building was makuti hall and it was built by makuti that's why it's called Makuti guest house and bar. during 2010 more innovation came and more than three (3) buildings and garden was built and there is where the new name Makuti Village Garden Inn was found up to now days.
Also Makuti Village Garden Inn is surrounded by many peaks where you can get good and different views, these peaks are like Ngala Peak, Mnesu Peak, Malibwi Peak, Kwaboli Peak.
Waterfalls like Mkuzu waterfall and natural forest at Mkuzi and Mkuzu.
At Kilole not far from Makuti Village Garden Inn there is river in Kidandara place  which is very cold at initial, never dry and there is no source of that river.
Also there is Wattle Forest at mazumbai area, mineral like boxite available Kabanda-Kwemakame,
even Local bars where they are located at Kagera, Kwemakame and Kabanda.
Market days at Friday and Monday where you can all commodities at cheap price.
Kwai mission hospital 2KM from Makuti Village Garden Inn, also there is Primary school and Secondary school both called Kwemakame.
The tribe available here is Mbugu, Sambaa and Wapare.
When you are at Makuti Village Garden Inn it's very easy to go to Lukozi, Malindi, Mtae, Kwekanga, Mlola, Baga and back Lushoto.
